Carolinas Summary

October 6-18, 2003 approx.

It is hard not to fell in love with the Southern beauty of those two states. Intracoastal Waterway was taking us through big and small rivers, amazing countryside and hospitable towns. Being so bent on sailing and trying to avoid use of engine we were making ever so slow progress in windy rivers and tidal canals. Although in North Carolina we have experienced some engine trouble we would rather choose to remember warmth of the people we've met and gorgeous towns we have visited, instead of lack of sparkplugs and tools and freak-out moments when going under a closing lift bridge and hearing the engine breathing its last.
